Humble Beginnings & Foundation Building
VIPRA was founded in 1991 and began its operations with a strong focus on precision machining. During this period, the company expanded its manufacturing capabilities with the addition of CNC Turning Centres, Vertical Machining Centres (VMC), and Horizontal Machining Centres (HMC), laying a solid technological foundation.
Quality Certifications & Global Entry
In 2002, VIPRA achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification, strengthening its quality systems. The company secured its first direct export order from the USA in 2007 and obtained TS 16949:2002 certification the same year. This decade also saw the addition of Carl Zeiss CMM and other advanced CNC machines to enhance precision and inspection capabilities.
Technology Advancement & Operational Excellence
VIPRA expanded its machining strength with the addition of the Doosan Turnmill 280M and VC430 VMC. The company also introduced VTL and Hyundai Vertical Turret Lathe machines and participated in the BOSCH–UNIDO Cluster Program, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence and global manufacturing practices.
Strategic Growth & Capacity Expansion
The company opened a new manufacturing unit at Mulbagal in 2017. In 2018, it invested in a Zeiss Contour Measuring Machine to further strengthen quality control. VIPRA added the Integrex i300 at Unit 2, focusing on multipurpose machining capabilities, and in 2019 secured its first assembly order from Europe for industrial pumps.
Accelerated Growth & Future Readiness
VIPRA continued its expansion by opening Unit 3 at Tumkur in 2020 for contract manufacturing. During this period, eight new VMC machines were added for new projects, along with a Fanuc Robo Drill and an additional Carl Zeiss CMM at Unit 2, further enhancing production capacity and precision standards.
